Understanding the Labels TE25a ^R or 25a.pst ^N

• 1. 1st check the superscript ^{T, R, R/S, Rs/Rx, S}
     1. T=Technical, R= Reducing, R/S = reducing and striking.  Rs/Rx = Reset first, then Reduce.  S= Striking. You can stop here.  This is all you need to know to use the glass.  Refer to our User’s Guide on how to use each of these techniques.
  2. If you want to know more, you can look up the general family the glass is in using the Reverse Master Glass List
     1. Look up first 2 letters in the test batch code, TE25a^R 
     2. or the last three letters in the oracle code, 25a.pst^N 
     3. or search the letter codes in our Color Archives or Oracle Archive.
     4. The numbers, TE25a ^R or 25a.pst ^N  are the year we put it in the garage sale.
     5. The single lower case letter,  TE25a ^R or 25a.pst ^N is for our reference only.

• Tip: As a general rule, if the rods are
  • in the neutral color family (amber-brown) family = probably striking or dual glass.
  • black or a color in the rainbow (except red) = probably a reduction glass
  • pink-red = probably a gold glass
  • clear = probably a technical glass
